EXPERIENCE

Center of strategic development of areas has successfully developed and implemented the strategies of development and investment plans, economic and social projects for the cities, villages and townships of Ukraine. We conduct monitoring research using the methodology developed by our Center, which we use as the foundation for the future development.

Development and implementation of strategies

Our success history:

  • Development strategy for Solonyansk amalgamated hromada (Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine) (18 localities, total population: 14 733);
  • Development strategy for Svyatovasylivka amalgamated hromada (Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine) (19 localities, total population: 4 759);
  • Development strategy for Popilnya amalgamated hromada (Zhytomyr region, Ukraine) (13 localities, total population: 15 008);
  • Development strategy for Kvitneva amalgamated hromada (Zhytomyr region, Ukraine) (5 localities, total population: 4 332);
  • Development strategy for Andrushky amalgamated hromada (Zhytomyr region, Ukraine) (4 localities, total population: 3 777);
  • Development strategy for Shyryaevo amalgamated hromada (Odesa region, Ukraine) (5 localities, total population: 11 410);
  • Development strategy for Vasylivka (city in Zaporizhia region, Ukraine) (4 localities, total population: >5 000);
  • Development strategy for Hirsivka amalgamated hromada (Zaporizhia region, Ukraine) (5 localities, total population: >4 000);
  • Development strategy for Bilmak Amalgamated Hromada (Zaporizhia region, Ukraine) (14 localities, total population: >21 000);
  • Development strategy for Yakymivka (township and local areas, Zaporizhia region, Ukraine) (45 localities, total population: >34 000).

The center co-developed the “Cultural Policy of Vinnytsa” and the “Strategy of Intercultural Development of Vinnytsa” (city of Vinnytsa, Ukraine, total population: 372 672).

The center co-developed the Intercultural Integration Plan of Melitopol 2016-2020 and the Development Strategy of Melitopol (Zaporizhia region). The result: more than 75,1 million UAH of additional investment to the city.

 

Development and implementation of projects

Center of strategic development of areas, alongside its partners from NGO “Committee of the future. Solidarity and responsibility” successfully developed the following projects:

The project of UNDP “Employment of IDPs and local residents of Donetsk and Luhansk areas” (2015) (Partners of “Metstar Company” LLC). The main activities are focused on the employment of ATO refugees. 

“A window to the World”: reconstruction and improvement of educational room in the social and psychological rehabilitation center for children in Mirne, which was made possible by winning the Ginger Fund grant.

With the support of USAID, the largest in the south-eastern Ukraine business-incubator “LIFT” has been launched, with an area of 1080.0 sq. m, which currently employs 28 business projects. The result was creation of 208 workplaces, of which 43 – IDPs. The Business Incubator includes office space, a co-working center, a conference room, and a negotiation room. As of today, the total cost of the project is more than UAH 3,500,000.

Within the framework of the project Factory of Entrepreneurs, two parts of the textbook Real Entrepreneurship were developed, and training courses were held at the Melitopol State Pedagogical University.
